As clinical Thyroidologists, Dr. Mark Lupo and Dr. Zsofia Geck are dedicated to all aspects of thyroid disease. Dr. Lupo served as President of the Academy of
Clinical Thyroidologists (ACT) in 2008 and is now serving a three year term as Secretary of ACT. Dr. Lupo and Dr. Geck are board-certified in Endocrinology and specialize in thyroid ultrasound and ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy of thyroid nodules and lymph nodes, thyroid hormone analysis, nuclear medicine, cytopathology, and oncology. |

The Thyroid & Endocrine Center of Florida has a special interest in thyroid cancer. We see many patients with thyroid cancer and provide preoperative and postoperative evaluation and ultrasound studies, as well as state-of-the-art monitoring for cancer recurrence.
We coordinate and administer radioactive I-131 treatments for thyroid cancer and hyperthyroidism. Our facility is approved and monitored by the State of Florida Radiation Bureau to administer these treatments in a safe and effective manner.
Our on-site clinical
laboratory is CLIA certified and dedicated to thyroid function testing. We offer a
wide range of thyroid testing including, but not limited to, TSH, free T4
(Thyroxine), free T3 (Triiodothyronine), Thyroperoxidase (TPO) antibodies,
Thyroglobulin (Tg) antibodies, Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulin (TSI) and
TSH Receptor Antibody (TSHR). Our lab is staffed by a highly skilled laboratory
technician and two licensed medical phlebotomists. Standard quality assurances
and proficiency programs are in place to ensure consistent testing integrity.
