Dr. Mark A. Lupo is the founder and Medical Director of the Thyroid & Endocrine Center of Florida. Dr. Lupo is board certified in Endocrinology. Dr. Lupo received his medical degree and Internal Medicine training from the University of Florida and then completed Endocrinology training through a combined program at the University of California, San Diego and Scripps Clinic. Dr. Lupo is Clinical Assistant Professor, Florida State University, College of Medicine and is the current secretary of the Academy of Clinical Thyroidologists. Dr. Lupo is also an active member of Mensa. |

Dr. Zsofia Geck is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology with a sub-specialty focus in thyroid and parathyroid disorders. Dr. Geck is a member of the American Thyroid Association (ATA), American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), American Clinical Thyroidologists (ACT) and the Endocrine Society. Dr. Geck received her Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University, completed her Medical Doctorate from New York Medical College and received post doctoral training in Internal Medicine and completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology at Shands Hospital, University of Florida. Dr. Geck has medical staff privileges at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and has applied for privileges at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota. |

Along with Dr. Lupo and Dr. Geck, Debbie leads the nursing and front office staff in a
patient-oriented team approach to your medical healthcare needs. Debbie studied at
Emory University and received medical certification from Sarasota Technical Institute.
Debbie has over thirty years of medical and management experience. Debbie is also the
Practice Management and Billing Consultant for the Advanced Thyroid Ultrasound
Guided FNA Course taught by Dr. Lupo and Dr. Nicole Massoll of the University of
Arkansas for Medical Sciences. |

Janine earned her Master of Science in Nursing ARNP in 1988 from Florida State
University. Janine has worked in the fields of Infectious Disease, Pain Management and
at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta before joining our team. Janine works with Dr. Lupo,
Dr. Geck and our nursing staff to coordinate and facilitate patient care. |

Keon leads the nursing staff in patient care and is the assistant to Dr. Lupo, Dr. Geck and
Janine Zaccagnino, NP. Keon rooms patients, schedules surgery cases and assists with
FNA biopsies. Keon has over seven years of medical experience. Keon graduated from
Keiser University in 2010 with a Medical Assisting degree. |

Wendi earned her Associates of Science degree from Baker College in Michigan and is a
Medical Assistant. Wendi has four years experience and is the assistant to Dr. Lupo, Dr.
Geck and Janine Zaccagnino, NP. Wendi rooms patients, is a phlebotomist and assists
with FNA biopsies. |

Rhonda received her phlebotomy certification from Sarasota Technical Institute in 1996.
Rhonda is responsible for coordinating the front office duties, patient check-in, patient
check-out, authorizations, new patient calls, chart preparation, patient re-calls, patient
scheduling, and appointment confirmation. Rhonda has also trained to assist Dr. Lupo
and Dr. Geck with biopsies. |

Crissy is our Assistant Front Office Coordinator and greets our patients upon check in.
Crissy is responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, chart preparation,
obtaining authorizations and assisting with check-out. Crissy has over 11 years of
medical experience. |

 |
Erica is our New Patient Coordinator. Erica is responsible for all new patient
information, scheduling new patients and various front office duties at check-in and
check-out. Erica has over 17 years experience in the medical industry. Erica received
her certification as a Medical Assistant from Ross Medical School in Michigan. |

Donna is responsible for all facets of our in-office CLIA certified laboratory. Donna is
board certified as a Medical Technologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology
and is a member of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. Donna has
over 25 years of medical experience. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from
Pennsylvania State University and a Medical Technology degree from Valley Hospital
School of Medical Technology. |
